Director of Missions
Dr. Michael Haynes
Mike came to the Association in 1998. Prior to directing the Association, Mike pastored in the Kansas City area for twenty years. Mike and his wife, Robbi, are members of NorthBridge Church. Mike and Robbi love to travel and Mike enjoys golf and fly-fishing. They have two children and three grandchildren.
Director of Ethnic and Church Missions
Rev. Samuel González
Samuel was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. He began working for the Association in 2003. Prior to that, he pastored for many years and worked for Missouri Baptist Convention in ethnic church planting. Samuel and his wife, Judith, are founding members of Casa de Oración mission. They have two children and two granddaughters. Samuel enjoys playing basketball and cheering for the Chivas (soccer team from Guadalajara).
Youth Ministry Consultant
Rev. Doug Watson
Doug has been involved in youth ministry in the Association, including YouthQuake, since coming to the area in 1994. He has served for more than 30 years as a Youth Pastor or Associate Pastor. In 2005, he moved into a missionary position with the local Springfield Area Youth Leaders Network. Doug is married to Clydene and they have four children. Doug also leads "The Heights" contemporary worship at National Heights Baptist Church and works bi-vocationally for Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Ozarks. Doug enjoys hunting, fishing, golf, playing guitar and spending time with his family.
Office Manager
Mrs. Terry Wright
Terry joined the Association in 1994 and has been serving as Office Manager and Administrative Assistant since 2004. She and her husband, John, have three children and two grandsons. Terry and her family are members of South Haven Baptist Church. She enjoys playing the piano, spoiling her grandchildren and cooking.
Coordinator of Grand Oak Mission Center
Mrs. Dinah Ensor
Dinah served as Ministry Assistant at Grand Oak Mission Center for twelve years prior to becoming Coordinator in January 2007. Before her ministry at Grand Oak, Dinah served as a church secretary. Dinah and her husband, Bob, are members of Golden Avenue Baptist Church. Dinah and Bob have two daughters and five grandchildren. Dinah enjoys Bluegrass music, camping, and cooking.
Financial Assistant
Mrs. Burnace Smith
Burnace has served with the Association as Financial Secretary since 2004. Burnace has served with the International Mission Board as a journeyman in Zimbabwe. She and her husband, Ed, have two children. Burnace and her family are members of Temple Baptist Church, where she is also church pianist. Burnace enjoys reading and playing the piano.
Ministry Assistant
Mrs. Pamela Hutchinson
Pamela began serving as Ministry Assistant for the Association in June 2008. She and her husband, Steve, have one daughter and two grandchildren. They attend Springfield Second. Pamela enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, reading and spending time at the lake.
Webmaster
Mrs. Shelley Elliott
Shelley has been with the Association since 2005. She began helping with desktop publishing and that has evolved into keeping the website updated, as well. Shelley and her husband, Dean, live on a farm near Ash Grove and they have two boys, Daniel and Luke. The Elliott family attends Evergreen Church. Shelley is also a computer instructor at OTC.
